Middletown, NJ (June 30, 2021) – One person has lost their life as a result of a motor vehicle accident in the Leonardo section of town, according to reports. At approximately 1:28 p.m., on June 29, emergency crews were notified that an accident took place on Thompson Avenue.
Reports from local authorities show that a collision between a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle occurred on Thompson Avenue at the intersection of Center Avenue during the afternoon hours.
The motorcyclist was fatally injured in the accident and died at the scene. The passenger on the motorcycle was severely injured. The victim was later transported via New Jersey State Police medevac to Hackensack Meridian Health Jersey Shore University Medical Center.
At this time, the circumstances surrounding the accident are under investigation.
