Monroe Township, NY – Man Killed in Crash on US 322 near Ocean Lane

Monroe Township, NY (December 15, 2022) – A man lost his life after an accident on South Black Horse Pike on the evening of Wednesday, December 14. 

Authorities report the driver of a 2012 Honda Accord was headed west on US 322 near the intersection with Ocean Lane when the crash happened. At approximately 5:40 p.m., the driver attempted to turn left into a parking lot and crossed the path of a 2011 Chevrolet Corvette. 

The Accord’s rear passenger side was hit by the Corvette. Police report the driver of the Accord, a 52-year-old man from Mariton, was ejected from his vehicle. He was pronounced deceased at Jefferson Hospital a short time after the accident occurred. 

The driver who died has not been identified at this time. Washington Township EMS, Cecil Fire Department, Winslow Township EMS, Williamstown Fire Department, Inspira Medics, and the New Jersey Department of Transportation were at the scene investigating. 

Authorities are working to determine the cause of the accident.
