Truck Accidents in New Jersey

Mount Laurel, NJ – Oil Tanker Truck Crash on Route 295 near Route 73 Ends in InjuriesTruck accidents are often more significant than most other types of accidents. The fact that trucks weigh so much and are much larger than other vehicles sharing the road means that they are more likely to cause severe damage to anything they come in contact with. Unfortunately, thousands of people die as a result of truck accidents in the United States each year. Tens of thousands more are left with serious injuries that require some form of medical care.

There are many different factors that can contribute to a truck accident. Some of the most common causes of truck accidents in New Jersey include:

  • Driver error: Truck drivers are often under pressure to meet tight deadlines. This can lead them to take risks while driving, such as driving too fast for the road conditions or tailgating other vehicles. Driver error is the leading cause of truck accidents in New Jersey.
  • Mechanical failures: Trucks are complex machines, and they require regular maintenance to stay in good working order. If a truck isn’t properly maintained, it can develop mechanical problems that can lead to an accident.
  • Poor road conditions: New Jersey roads can be in poor condition, especially during winter weather. Potholes, ice, and snow can all contribute to truck accidents.

Unfortunately, victims of truck accidents often face towering financial burdens related to medical costs, lost earning capacity, and costs to repair or replace their vehicles.
