New Milford, NJ (May 31, 2021) – Several people were left injured following a multi-vehicle collision in the New Milford area on Sunday. On May 30, emergency crews were notified that a collision took place on New Bridge Road.
Reports show that just before 4:30 p.m., a chain-reaction collision involving five vehicles took place on the roadway after one driver suffered a medical episode while operating their vehicle.
The incident caused severe delays in the area as crews worked to clear the scene.
A 32-year-old woman driving a Honda was transported to Hackensack University Medical Center for treatment. Two other victims, a 48-year-old female in a BMW and a 52-year-old female who was driving a Toyota, both refused medical care.
Ambulances from Englewood Health Medical Center, Holy Name Medical Center, and Hackensack University Medical Center responded to the scene to treat other victims and provide them with transportation to local hospitals. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
