New York City, NY – Pedestrian Killed On FDR Drive at E 116th StNY/NJ Legal News
New York City, NY (August 29, 2019) – Police are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding a pedestrian death in the East Harlem area on Thursday morning.
At approximately 5:30 a.m., on August 29, New York City Police Department responded to the scene of a pedestrian accident on the FDR Drive near East 116th Street.
Reports from police indicate that a female victim was discovered along the exit ramp from the RFK-Triboro Bridge entering onto the southbound side of FDR Drive. Evidence located at the scene leads police to believe that the woman was fatally struck by a vehicle.
The driver of the vehicle later contacted the police and reported that he believed that he struck the woman near the intersection.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
