The Consequences of a Rolling Stop

Niagara Falls, NY – 2 Children Injured in Pine Ave Crash

Niagara Falls, NY (October 09, 2019) – Two small children were taken to Oishei Children’s Hospital after they were hit by a car on Pine Avenue.

Niagara Falls police have verified that a 10-year-old boy and his 9-year-old sister were crossing Pine Avenue in the vicinity of 26th Street when they were struck. Police stated that a black van traveling eastbound, driven by Eva Sepe, stopped to let the children safely cross the street, but they were hit by a gold 2008 Chrysler Town and Country coming from the opposite direction.

The driver of the Chrysler was a 79-year-old woman from Pennsylvania.

The force of the impact knocked the girl into the black van that stopped to let her and her brother cross. The boy was thrown into the street.

Our thoughts are with the injured children and their families at this time. We hope for their full recovery.

Pedestrian Accidents in Niagara Falls

Niagara Falls, NY - 2 Children Injured in Pine Ave Crash

More often than not, pedestrian-involved accidents have outcomes that are devastating to both the victim and their family. Due to the fact that pedestrians have no protective gear, they are extremely vulnerable to cars on the road. When the two collide, sadly, there are liable to be several different injuries or even a fatality.

If you’ve been hit by a vehicle while you were on foot and in a marked crosswalk or on a sidewalk, it is crucial that you receive medical treatment for your injuries immediately following the accident, because this will help you later on if you have to go to court.

If you have been involved in any type of accident, it is in your best interest to confer with a personal injury attorney before you speak to anyone else. The driver’s insurance company will typically try to get you to settle the claim for the smallest amount of money possible. Your personal injury attorney will have the skill and the knowledge to make sure you don’t get taken advantage of.

If you or someone you love has been injured or killed in a pedestrian-involved accident then you may have a right to financial compensation to cover any damages such as hospital bills, lost wages due to time away from work, pain and suffering, or even wrongful death.
