Pedestrian Accidents in Niagara Falls

Niagara Falls, NY - Early Morning Accident Leaves Pedestrian in Critical Condition

The majority of pedestrian accidents take place due to a collision with a car or other vehicle. Typical locales for these types of accidents include alleys, parking lots, driveways, sidewalks, crosswalks, intersections, playgrounds, and school zones.

Drivers who fail to pay attention to the road frequently fail to notice pedestrians in their vicinity. Distracted drivers, drunk drivers and drivers who speed often fail to notice traffic signs, crosswalks, and traffic signals as well. Negligent drivers should be held accountable for their carelessness.

When someone is hit by a car, they have no safety features that protect them from the car’s impact. Depending on the speed at which the car is driving, a pedestrian’s injuries can vary from concussions and fractures to catastrophic brain injury and spinal cord damage, all of which could potentially cause lifelong disability, coma or even death.

If you or someone you love has been injured or killed in a pedestrian-involved accident then you may have a right to financial compensation to cover any damages such as hospital bills, lost wages due to time away from work, pain and suffering, or even wrongful death.
