North Cape May, NJ (June 1, 2022) – One woman has lost her life as a result of a motor vehicle accident in the North Cape May area on Sunday evening, May 30. Just before 8 p.m., the police, firefighters, and emergency medical services were dispatched to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Beach Drive.
Reports from authorities show that a 56-year-old man was traveling in the area of Beach Drive and Lincoln Boulevard. For unknown reasons, his vehicle crashed into a second car at the intersection. The vehicle then struck a woman who was sitting on the bench.
The woman, identified as a 75-year-old Donna Buhner, was rushed to a local hospital for emergency medical care. Authorities confirm that she passed away after arriving.
The driver of the vehicle was also transported to a local hospital with unknown injuries.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
