North Harmony, NY – Fatal Accident Shuts Down Portion of I-86

North Harmony, NY (September 11, 2019) – The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Department is trying to determine what caused an accident on Interstate 86 that resulted in the death of a 66-year-old man.

Police answered a dispatch concerning the two-vehicle collision at about 4:15 in the morning on Wednesday, September 11th. 

Initial reports indicate that one of the drivers involved, Tommy Hyde, a 66-year-old resident of Warsaw, was pronounced dead at the scene. 

No one in the second vehicle sustained any reported injuries.

We would like to offer our deepest condolences to the family of the deceased victim, Mr. Tommy Hyde, at this time.
