Job Site Accidents in New Jersey

Ocean City, NJ - Robert Sanger Falls to His Death While Working at Gillian's Wonderland Pier

New Jersey law states that the general contractor of a project is duty-bound to provide safe working conditions. It is, however, not unusual for contractors to forsake the safety of their workers in order to increase profits, leaving laborers to square off with perilous working conditions on a daily basis.

The highest numbers of severely and fatally injured workers are in the construction industry. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration reported that around 1,000 job site fatalities occurred in 2016. Out of roughly 5,100 workplace deaths, 21% were construction workers. The Bureau of Labor Statistics documented nearly three million workplace injuries and illnesses in 2016. As high as that number is, it reflects a decrease of 48,500 victims from the year before.

Our New Jersey job site accident attorneys work diligently to see to it that you receive proper medical care and that your damages are covered after a construction accident.
