Brooklyn, NY (September 8, 2026) – One person was hurt early Tuesday morning, September 8, when two cars collided near Bushwick Avenue and Decatur Street.
Emergency units responded and helped place the injured man into an ambulance. He was taken to Interfaith Medical Center. His condition had not been released yet.
Both vehicles were heavily damaged after the accident. It is not clear what caused the two vehicles to come together.
New York Police continue to investigate.
We hope the injured man makes a full and steady recovery.

After being involved in a two-vehicle crash, drivers should first seek medical care, exchange insurance information, and file a police report. New York requires timely documentation to preserve a no-fault claim, and benefits can be limited without prompt notice to an insurer.
People affected by two-car cases typically deal with injuries such as whiplash, back strain, or other soft-tissue issues that don't always show up right away. Medical bills and lost wages can add up quickly, especially when recovery stretches over weeks or months.
It is common that fault after a two-vehicle crash is disputed between the parties, and a car accident lawyer can step in to manage it. To do this, a lawyer can help collect the police report, medical records, and any video footage documenting what happened in order to build a strong case.
Under New York's pure comparative negligence rule, a person is allowed to recover damages even if they are found partly at fault. Depending on the facts, this can include coverage for medical treatment beyond no-fault limits, lost income from missed work, ongoing rehabilitation costs, and pain and suffering tied to the severity of the injury.
