New Jersey Pedestrian Collisions
Pedestrians often suffer severe injuries in car crashes. Every year, tens of thousands of pedestrians are seriously injured after being hit by vehicles. The rate of negligent driving in the United States is higher than ever, causing more than 90% of reported car crashes.
Fatigue, distraction, speeding, and intoxication cause more than 5 million auto accidents yearly. These collisions can have an extremely negative impact on injured victims and their family members, sometimes costing people their lives. Despite valid efforts to spread safety awareness among drivers, people continue to drive negligently, causing crashes while speeding, intoxicated, or distracted.
Yearly, throughout the nation, approximately 6 million auto collisions happen that cause more than 3 million to sustain injuries and 40,000 to lose their lives. When the fact is considered that more than 90% of these crashes occur due to negligent driving, we see a serious problem that needs to be addressed. Negligent drivers need to be more aware of their behavior and the dangerous situations that they create for everyone on the roadways in the United States.
