Passaic, NJ (August 16, 2022) – On Tuesday, August 16th, one person was hit and killed by a New Jersey Transit train in Passaic County. 

The person was struck at about 2:00 a.m. by a Suffern, Main Line train heading for New York in the area of the Passaic station.  

Train 1101 departed from Hoboken around 1:30 a.m. with six people on board, none of whom were injured during the incident. 

The victim’s identity is under investigation. The circumstances surrounding the accident have not been released.
