Paterson, NJ – Firefighter Airlifted in Critical Condition After Crash on Rt 23NY/NJ Legal News
Paterson, NJ (September 21, 2022) – A firefighter from Paterson sustained critical injuries during a motorcycle accident in Sussex County on their way to work on Wednesday, September 21st.
The incident took place on Route 23 in Franklin, about 30 minutes outside of the city.
Although initial details were sparse, officials did say the injured victim was med-flighted to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center.
This accident remains under police investigation at this time.

Motorcycle Crashes in New Jersey
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reported that almost 4,700 motorcycle riders were killed in collisions in 2013 and approximately 88,000 sustained injuries regarded as serious.
