New Jersey Car Accidents
The state of New Jersey sees thousands of auto accidents per year. Some of these crashes end in injuries and fatalities for the involved parties. Throughout the United States, over 5 million vehicle accidents occur every single year. This is alarming when we consider the cause of these crashes: driver negligence. A recent report compiled concerning car wrecks in the United States found that 90-99% of reported car wrecks are caused by the negligent actions of drivers.
Drivers can display negligence in many different ways. Distraction is the most prevalent type of negligence seen on American roadways today. Every year, over 400,000 vehicle crashes are caused by the actions of distracted drivers. Drivers can be distracted by many things, but most of all, they are distracted by their phones. Everyone is worried about their calls, texts, and social media accounts at all times; even when driving vehicles. This is dangerous and frustrating for those of us who choose to pay attention to the roadway at all times. Looking away from the road for five seconds while traveling 55 miles per hour is the same as driving the length of a football field while blindfolded. When we look at it this way, it is an extremely hazardous and even life-threatening act that no one should ever engage in.
When you or a loved one of yours has sustained severe injuries in a car crash caused by the actions of a negligent driver, you deserve to be compensated for the losses and damages you are facing. No one should ever have to pay for injuries sustained by the actions of a negligent party, which is why there are attorneys who have made it their professional duty to help people like you through times like these.
