Pittsgrove, NJ – Wilbur Alvarado Killed When Tractor-Trailer Runs Over Dirt Bike on Rt 56NY/NJ Legal News
Pittsgrove, NJ (October 13, 2022) – A dirt bike rider died after he was hit by a tractor-trailer in Salem County on Sunday, October 9th.
State Police responded to the scene on the eastbound side of Route 56 near mile marker 6.1. in Pittsgrove Township at about 10:00 p.m.
An investigation determined that 24-year-old Wilbur Alexia Cea Alvarado, a resident of Vineland, was one of two people riding a Yamaha dirt bike on the shoulder of the roadway. The two bikes made contact, causing Alvarado to lose control and fall into the eastbound lane of the roadway.
The driver of a tractor-trailer then ran over Alvarado without stopping, leaving him fatally injured in the street.
The incident is under police investigation.
