Pedestrian Accident in New York
New York has seen a dramatic increase in pedestrian accidents this year. Bicycle accidents have more than doubled since last year, and pedestrians that walk are seeing a rise in incidents involving vehicles as well. Many residents are growing tired of these accidents and are calling for reform, demanding that something is done to ensure that the streets will be safe for pedestrians once more.
Pedestrian accidents are particularly scary because the chances of being seriously hurt are higher than an average car accident, where a victim is at least somewhat protected by their vehicle. After a pedestrian accident occurs where someone is seriously hurt, it’s important that that victim reaches out to a good New York pedestrian accident lawyer, that way they can get the help they need to know what next step they should take in getting justice.
