Queens, NY – 14-Year-Old Girl Killed in Crash on Belt Pkwy near N Conduit Ave

Queens, NY (May 17, 2023) – A 14-year-old girl lost her life on Wednesday afternoon, May 17, when she was thrown from a vehicle after it hit a parked car in Queens. Police say the incident happened around 7:00 p.m. 

Reports show the teenager was riding in the passenger seat of a BMW on the Belt Parkway near North Conduit Avenue when the driver attempted to pass a white box truck while the two vehicles left the highway. 

The box truck clipped the BMW, forcing it to careen into a parked UPS truck near 160th Street. The girl was ejected from the vehicle into the roadway, according to police. 

Paramedics and other responders were seen rendering aid at the scene. Authorities in Queens continue to investigate the circumstances of the collision.
