Queens, NY (March 15, 2022) – A car accident resulted in multiple injuries late Tuesday evening, March 15, per reports from the Queens Police Department.

According to initial information from the scene, the incident took place on the southbound Cross Island Parkway at Jamaica Avenue, causing stopped traffic back to Exit 27 and Route 25.

Though the events leading up to the collision remain unclear, medics were dispatched and appeared to transport at least one person to a local hospital. The total number of vehicles involved, as well as updates on the injured victims, was not provided by the police.

Authorities in Queens continue to investigate and have not released further details to the public. The investigation is active and ongoing at this time.
