Queens, NY – Injuries Reported in Pedestrian Accident at Gates Ave & Seneca Ave
Queens, NY (July 20, 2023) – A pedestrian accident with injuries took place at an intersection in Queens on the morning of Thursday, July 20.
According to Queens Police, the accident happened at 10:14 a.m. at the intersection of Gates Avenue and Seneca Avenue. Police confirmed that a pedestrian was walking in the area of the intersection when a red sedan suddenly struck them. The driver of the sedan remained on the scene following the accident.
Queen’s first responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The pedestrian, who has not yet been formally identified, sustained a shoulder injury as a result of the accident. They were taken to the hospital, but their current condition is not yet known.
The roadway was blocked at the intersection for some time after the accident. This led to delays until the scene was cleared.
