New York Car Wrecks
Motor vehicle accidents are unfortunately common in New York and across the United States. There are hundreds of millions of licensed drivers in the United States who are constantly traveling from point A to point B. This makes for busy roads in most states and, regrettably, high accident rates. Throughout the country, more than 6 million car crashes occur each and every year. These crashes injure more than 3 million people. Some accidents only end in property damage, however, others end in severe injuries and even fatalities. On average, the state of New York sees thousands of fatalities per year due to auto collisions.
When collisions involving multiple cars happen, usually, multiple people sustain injuries and heavy damage to their property. If you act responsibly while driving, then it is probable that you will not be held accountable for the accident you were involved in. This also means that you are most likely eligible to collect financial compensation for the losses and damages you’re facing in relation to your recent crash. You can usually collect compensation from the driver at-fault as well as the insurance company.
A publication distributed by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration concerning American car crashes shows that in the United States, there has been an 11% increase in the number of auto accidents since 2015. As the population in America continues to grow higher, the total number of new, careless, and preoccupied drivers continues to rise as well. The overcrowded roadways in New York are one of the many reasons why you should work with a car crash lawyer in the aftermath of your collision.
