Queens, NY – Officer Hit by Car on Rockaway Blvd near Centreville St

Queens, NY (February 19, 2024) – An injury accident occurred in Queens on Sunday evening, February 18. At approximately 7:47 p.m., first responders were sent to the scene of an incident involving a police officer and a vehicle. According to reports, a police officer was struck by a vehicle at Rockaway Boulevard and Centreville Street. The officer was struck by a black Corvette which then fled westbound without stopping to render aid. Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the incident. Paramedics rendered aid to the injured police officer at the scene, who has not been identified at this time.
