Queens, NY – Pedestrian Hit by Bus, Injured on Eliot Ave near Fresh Pond
Queens, NY (January 26, 2024) – A serious pedestrian accident occurred in Queens on the morning of January 26. A pedestrian was reportedly struck by a bus at around 5:19 a.m.
Sources say the incident happened at the intersection of Eliot Avenue near Fresh Pond. The driver of a Q39 bus hit a woman, age 24. The victim was attempting to cross the street while the bus driver was turning right onto Eliot Avenue at Fresh Pond. The female victim was transported by first responders to Elmhurst Hospital in critical condition, according to information provided by local reports. Police say the bus driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with authorities. Currently, authorities in Queens are still investigating.
