Queens, NY – Sukhmani Singh, 18, Killed in Fatal Crash on Belt Pkwy near Farmers Blvd

Queens, NY (January 30, 2023) – Two teenagers lost their lives in a fatal traffic accident that happened in Springfield Gardens, Queens. The incident was reported to police at around 10:45 p.m. Sunday, January 29. 

One of the young victims was identified as a 16-year-old who was ejected from a BMW when the driver lost control. The vehicle crashed into a median and flipped onto its roof on the Belt Parkway near Farmers Boulevard. 

The 16-year-old victim was pronounced deceased on-site. Another passenger, identified as 18-year-old Sukhmani Singh, was transported to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased. 

The driver, a 19-year-old, was transported to the same hospital with moderate injuries. Speed is believed to have been a factor in the fatal accident. 

New York police continue to investigate the details of the crash.
