Queens, NY (December 21, 2022) – A car crash happened in Auburndale, Queens, on the morning of December 20. At approximately 7:44 a.m., emergency crews were dispatched to the scene of a crash on Northern Boulevard. 

Injuries were confirmed as a result of the three-car accident that took place at the intersection of Northern Boulevard and 171st Street. One vehicle overturned due to the crash, however, what caused the incident to take place remains under police investigation at this time. 

First responders treated those with injuries at the scene. Five people were transported to the hospital with injuries, though their identities have not been released. 

Delays in traffic were observed near the wreck site while emergency crews worked in the area. Authorities asked drivers commuting near 171st Street on Northern Boulevard to find alternate routes.
