Riverhead, NY (December 03, 2019) – A pedestrian was killed after he was hit by multiple cars on Monday, December 2nd, one of which neglected to stop.
The victim was a 72-year-old male and a resident of Riverhead. Police have not yet released his name to the public.
According to police reports, the man was crossing West Main Street shortly after 5:00 p.m. When he reached the median, he was struck by a car headed eastbound. The victim was then hit by a second car headed in the opposite direction.
The victim was pronounced dead at Peconic Bay Medical Center.
