Head-On Accidents and Wrongful Death Claims in Andover, NJ

Rte 206 Head-On Accident Leaves 1 Dead, 2 Hurt

When a driver crosses into oncoming traffic on a two-lane stretch, the results can be catastrophic, regardless of the posted speed limit.

Fatal outcomes leave surviving family members dealing with funeral costs, lost income, and the sudden loss of a loved one's companionship and guidance. People in the oncoming vehicle can also face long recoveries from broken bones, internal injuries, and lasting cognitive effects that take months or years to fully understand.

In New Jersey, a wrongful death lawyer can help identify who is legally entitled to bring a claim under the state's Wrongful Death Act, typically a spouse, child, or another close family member acting as the estate's representative.

In these types of cases, it is important to determine the cause of the accident. Typically, reconstruction specialists work alongside attorneys to determine why a vehicle left its lane, whether from distraction, a medical episode, or another cause, since that finding commonly shapes which insurance policies apply.

Losing a family member this way brings questions that can feel overwhelming. At Metro Law, we can go over your case and help you understand how the legal process may develop for you under New Jersey law.
