Rutherford, NJ (May 7, 2021) – One worker was rushed to a local hospital following an explosion at his place of employment on Thursday. On May 6, the police, firefighters, and EMS in East Rutherford responded to the scene of an accident on Dubois Street.
According to reports, an explosion occurred at the Diamond Chemical Company located on Dubois Street and Union Avenue. The unidentified worker sustained serious injuries in the accident.
A medical helicopter responded to the scene to transport the injured worker to St. Barnabas Medical Center for treatment. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
