Somers, NJ - Junior Polanco Brito Killed in Fatal Crash on Rt 100

Somers, NJ (October 31, 2023) - State police say a driver in New Jersey lost his life and a teenager suffered critical injuries in a collision in Somers on Monday, October 30. 

Responders were dispatched to the scene of the incident to render aid shortly after it happened on Route 100. Junior Polanco Brito, a Lyft driver, lost his ilfe in the accident. He was traveling on Route 100 in the southbound lanes when he was involved in a crash with a sanitation truck headed south. 

A 17-year-old passenger present in Brito’s vehicle suffered critical injuries in the crash. They were taken to Westchester Medical Center in order to receive treatment. 

The investigation into the details of the crash continues.
