Vehicle Collisions in New Jersey

Stafford, NJ - Man Airlifted to Trauma Unit After Scooter Accident at Rt 9 and McKinley Ave

Just a few years ago, a safety study was performed on electric-powered vehicles in New Jersey. The study examined safety data from throughout the state. The Department of Transportation collected the data used in the report, which showed that the state had witnessed the smallest number of electric-powered vehicle accidents since 1998.

Statistically, collisions are more likely to happen in the evening and afternoon. Saturdays and Sundays had the highest fatality rates. The rate of fatal accidents also rose substantially during June, July, and August.

The report’s contributors also noticed some obvious risk factors where deadly crashes were concerned:

  • Licensed drivers: More than 40% of fatalities involved an unlicensed operator
  • Age: Roughly 56% of those killed were under 35
  • Sex: Nearly 100% of those who died in electric-powered vehicle crashes were male

Every electric-powered vehicle injury claim is unique, but your New Jersey personal injury attorney will know the most reliable and efficient ways to help you establish negligence and collect the maximum amount of financial compensation.
