Stafford, NJ – Nelson Hoover Killed in Bicycle Accident on Rt 72 Near On-Ramp to Garden State PkyNY/NJ Legal News
Stafford, NJ (May 03, 2022) – Stafford Police responded to the westbound lanes of Route 72 near the on-ramp to the Garden State Parkway on Monday, May 2nd at about 9:40 p.m. for reports of a collision between a motor vehicle and a bicycle.
An investigation determined that 55-year-old Ronald Sheehy, a resident of Ocean Township, was driving on Route 72 when he swerved into the righthand lane to get onto the parkway when he struck 61-year-old Nelson Hoover, a resident of Little Egg Harbor, who was riding a bicycle.
After attempting life-saving measures at the scene of the accident, Hoover was transported via ambulance to Southern Ocean Medical Center in Manahawkin where he passed away.
