Stafford, NJ (January 07, 2022) – On Friday, January 7th, a man from Tuckerton ran a red light and caused a four-car accident on Route 72 in the area of Marsha Drive in Stafford Township.

Stafford Police said that 51-year-old Joseph White, a resident of Tuckerton was traveling eastbound on Route 72 in a box truck when he jumped a traffic light at the intersection of Marsha Drive and crashed into a northbound 2009 Ford 150, driven by 44-year-old Rufino Tepetil, a resident of Manahawkin.  

The impact caused the Ford to strike a 2019 Volkswagen driven by 67-year-old Catherine Frieder, a resident of Colonia. 

All three vehicles then came to a stop in the intersection where a fourth vehicle became involved; a 2011 Honda Accord driven by 40-year-old Craig Allen, a resident of Manahawkin, who plowed into the traffic signal at the intersection.

Tepetl was med flighted to Atlantic City Trauma Center for treatment after being extricated from his vehicle.

Frieder was taken to Southern Ocean Medical Center for treatment of unknown injuries.
