Staten Island, NY - Injuries Follow Two-Car Collision at Old Town Rd & Hylan Blvd

Staten Island, NY (October 9, 2023) - A car accident occurred in Staten Island on the evening of October 9. At approximately 5:45 p.m., responders were dispatched to the scene on Old Town Road. 

What caused the accident to happen is still under police investigation at this time. At least one individual was hurt in the crash that took place on Old Town Road near Hylan Boulevard. 

Several responders were observed rendering aid at the scene a short time after the collision happened. The injured victims were treated and taken to the hospital for further care as needed. 

Those hurt in the wreck were not immediately identified. Two vehicles were involved in the accident that blocked the intersection for an extended time period on Monday evening, resulting in notable delays in traffic.
