Staten Island, NY – Three Injured in Truck Accident on Staten Island Expwy
Staten Island, NY (June 26, 2023) – On the morning of June 26, a truck accident occurred in Staten Island. The incident took place shortly after 10:00 a.m., according to reports.
Authorities say the collision occurred on the Staten Island Expressway near Bradley Avenue. Police came across the crash while patrolling the highway, sources said. Several first responders went to the scene to help the people involved.
A tractor-trailer was found lying on its side due to the collision, as well as an SUV with severe front-end damage. Only one lane of traffic remained open while emergency crews worked at the crash scene.
Three people sustained injuries in the accident. They were treated by paramedics and taken to local hospitals for further care. Their names have not been reported at this time.
The Expressway was shut down for an extended period of time due to the incident. A white SUV and an 18-wheeler crashed for reasons still being investigated. Firefighters, police, and EMTs worked to help the people who sustained injuries at the wreck site.
