Suffolk Co., NY – Amilar Velasquez Loses Life in Wreck on West Hills Rd

Suffolk Co., NY (May 9, 2024) – A man identified as 37-year-old Amilar Velasquez lost his life due to being struck by a vehicle on Sunday morning, May 5. 

According to reports, the crash occurred on West Hills Road. The vehicle that struck Velasquez fled the scene at around 12:13 a.m. The injured victim was taken to Huntington Hospital in critical condition where he later lost his life. Police are currently investigating the details of the wreck.
