Monroe Township, NJ (September 7, 2026) – A 75-year-old motorcyclist was hospitalized with a serious head injury on Sunday afternoon, September 6. According to authorities, the accident happened after a driver turned left into the motorcycle’s path and left without stopping.
The Monroe Township Police said the crash happened around 4:35 p.m. at the intersection of Union Valley Half Acre Road and North Pondview Boulevard. The officers who arrived at the scene found the man down in the roadway.
He had been riding a Honda motorcycle north on Union Valley Half Acre Road as a vehicle described as a possible white SUV traveled south on the same road. Investigators say the SUV turned left onto North Pondview Boulevard directly in front of him, and the vehicles came together. He was taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital by emergency units.
The driver of the SUV left without stopping to check on him, police said. Investigators are now working to identify that driver while the investigation remains active.
We hope the injured man makes a full and steady recovery.

When a driver cannot be identified, injured riders can typically turn to their own uninsured motorist (UM) coverage, which New Jersey requires on most auto policies specifically to cover hit-and-run losses.
Motorcyclists struck in these kinds of left-turn crashes can face fractures, head trauma, and road rash. All these types of injuries tend to require extended treatment and time away from work.
Victims can face a lot of financial pressure since there is no at-fault driver insurance to cover the costs. While the case is still being sorted out, medical bills keep accumulating.
To identify the responsible driver, a motorcycle accident lawyer can help gather surveillance and dash cam footage, canvass nearby businesses for leads, and file a timely UM claim while preserving the option to pursue the driver directly if they're later identified.
