Toms River, NJ (May 24, 2023) – A serious accident occurred in Toms River on the afternoon of Tuesday, May 24. At around 12:30 p.m., emergency crews were sent to the scene of the incident on Route 37. 

Sources reported the collision took place on Route 37 when a speeding vehicle lost control and collided with another car. The driver of the speeding vehicle suffered injuries, as well as the driver of the other car. 

The roadway was blocked for some time on the afternoon of May 24, causing delays in traffic in the area.

Authorities continue to investigate the details of the accident.
