Trenton, NJ – Five Firemen Injured Extinguishing Three-Alarm Blaze on Cleveland Ave

Trenton, NJ (July 21, 2022) – Five firefighters sustained injuries while working to extinguish a three-alarm fire in Trenton on Wednesday, July 20th. 

The fire started at about 12:40 p.m. in the 300th block of Cleveland Avenue.  

Additional crews were requested on the scene when the third story was found to be completely engulfed, changing the fire from a two-alarm to a three-alarm blaze.  

Paramedics were dispatched to evaluate three firefighters. One was injured during a partial structure collapse, and two more for reasons that are not known. 

Additional paramedics were called later to take two more firefighters to the hospital.  

The fire was under control by 1:35 p.m.
