Blackwood, NJ (September 30, 2026) – Two people were seriously injured late Tuesday, September 29, when a Toyota Venza overturned after a collision with a Honda Accord.
The crash happened around 11 p.m. near Black Horse Pike and Almonesson Road, according to New Jersey State Police.
According to preliminary reports, the Toyota was heading south on Black Horse Pike when it entered the northbound lane. It struck the back of the Honda, then continued through the intersection and left the road.
The Toyota then hit a utility pole guide wire and a brick business sign before flipping over in a nearby parking lot.
Emergency units removed the two occupants from the Toyota. Both were taken to a local hospital with serious injuries. The Honda's driver had no injuries.
The collision remains under ongoing investigation.

When you buy an auto insurance, you make a choice on New Jersey's limitation on lawsuits. If a driver selects it, the policy holder and covered family members generally can seek pain and suffering damages only when the injury fits a listed category, such as a permanent injury, a displaced fracture, or significant disfigurement. Drivers who choose the no-limitation option keep broader access to those damages.
Insurance records tend to drive these claims. New Jersey's personal injury protection coverage (PIP) pays medical expenses regardless of fault, with a standard limit of $250,000 unless the policy holder chose a lower option.
When a lawsuit for pain and suffering is on the table, a claim of permanent injury usually needs a physician's certification supported by treatment records, imaging, and follow-up notes. Insurers typically review those documents closely, so the consistency of medical records can shape how a claim is evaluated.
In these cases, a car accident lawyer can look at which policy applies to an injured person, whether the injury may meet a listed category, and how the two-year filing deadline in New Jersey fits into the timeline.
