Union County, NJ – Irving Batista Killed in Collision on I-78 near milepost 51.4
Union County, NJ (September 11, 2023) – A man from Jersey City, identified as 34-year-old Irving Batista, was riding an electric bike on an interstate in Union County on Monday morning when he was involved in a crash with a pick-up truck before being struck by another car.
Police say the collision happened at around 6:10 a.m. when a Ford pick-up truck, a Zugo E-bike, and a Mazda passenger vehicle were headed west on Interstate 78 when the bicyclist was hit by the truck and then the Mazda.
