What Evidence Should Drivers Preserve After an Accident in North Brunswick, NJ?Update: Woman Injured in Rear-End Crash on Route 130

After a car accident in North Brunswick, drivers should hold onto photos of vehicle damage, contact information for witnesses, and any available traffic camera footage as soon as possible after an accident.

Roadway data from busy corridors such as Route 130 and the New Jersey Turnpike are often overwritten within days, which makes early requests important. Vehicle data recorders can also capture speed and braking details that may not be available later.

Without prompt documentation, insurance companies may downplay injuries or dispute how a wreck occurred, especially in cases that involve lost wages or ongoing medical care.

Medical records that clearly link injuries to what happened add further weight to a claim, particularly when treatment begins soon afterward. Gaps in the timeline can make it easier for an insurer to question whether an injury was really related.

To avoid losing this key evidence, a car accident lawyer can send preservation letters to insurance companies and vehicle owners to prevent footage or repair records from being discarded before they're reviewed.

After an accident, evidence can disappear quickly. At Metro Law, we can help you identify what to preserve and explain what types of compensation may be available based on the details of your situation.
