Venice, N.Y. – Pedestrian Hit by Vehicle, Vehicle Rolls Over and Knocks Down Utility Pole on Moravia-Venice Town Line RoadRobert A. Solomon, P.C.
Venice, N.Y. (May 24, 2019) – A pedestrian was hit by a vehicle that then brought down a utility pole, according to authorities. The New York pedestrian accident occurred Friday morning around 10:14 a.m. on Moravia-Venice Town Line Road in Cayuga County.
Police have not given details regarding how the accident occurred, but it is known that the accident included one vehicle and a pedestrian. The pedestrian was reportedly hit and injured by the vehicle and that the vehicle also rolled over and hit a utility pole, causing the wires to be knocked down. Emergency crews responded to the scene to attend to the victims. The pedestrian was taken by Mercy Flight to a regional hospital for treatment. The pedestrian was listed to be in critical condition around 5:30 p.m. Friday. No other injuries were reported.
The New York State Police are handling the investigation in this accident. As of Friday evening, the driver has not been charged for the accident, but the investigation is ongoing.
