Verona, NJ – Car Wash Worker Struck by Car at Quality Care Car Wash
Verona, NJ (March 27, 2023) – A car wash employee in Verona, NJ, was seriously hurt on the job when a driver lost control and hit the man, causing him to be thrown approximately 50 feet. The crash happened on Sunday, March 26.
Authorities in Verona report the 41-year-old male victim was working at Quality Care Car Wash at the time of the crash. He was detailing a vehicle in the front of the building when a driver traveling down Bloomfield Avenue lost control.
The driver, identified as a 75-year-old man, swerved off of the road and struck the male worker on Sunday evening. Authorities stated the force of the crash sent the man flying and seriously injured him.
The vehicle came to a stop after hitting two other cars and a utility pole. Paramedics sent the injured victim to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Paterson.
Authorities say the driver suffered minor injuries and was sent to St Joseph’s as well.
Police in Verona continue to investigate. We hope for the full recovery of the injured victim.
