Washington Heights, NY (November 8, 2019) – A workplace accident on West 180th Street left one worker injured.

Just after noon, on November 7, emergency crews responded to the scene of a workplace accident on West 180th Street.

According to reports, a man was working approximately 40-feet underground near the area of West 180th Street and Amsterdam Avenue, where the Radio Tower & Hotel is being built, when he was seriously injured.

The victim was able to maneuver himself to the surface before being rushed to a Harlem Hospital for treatment.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
