Washington, NJ – Rt 42 Scene of Injury Wreck near Luna Rossa Lamberti restaurant

Washington, NJ (October 16, 2023) – Numerous people sustained injuries in a head-on accident that occurred in Washington Township. Sources say the crash happened at around 10:50 p.m. on October 15. 

Reports from authorities show the incident took place on Route 42 near the Luna Rossa Lamberti restaurant when a Nissan Altima and a Chevy S-10 pickup truck were involved in a head-on crash. 

Route 42 was closed until 3:00 a.m. near Black Horse Pike while emergency crews from the fire department worked to free two passengers and a driver who were trapped inside of a pickup truck. The three pickup truck occupants were transported to Cooper University Medical Center with serious injuries. 

Police in Washington Township continue to investigate the details of the crash.
