Westampton, NJ – Two Children, Three Adults Injured When SUV Driver Loses Control on E. Pennington DrNY/NJ Legal News
Westampton, NJ (September 07, 2022) – Five people sustained serious injuries, two of whom were children, when an SUV plowed through a fence and into a tree after leaving the roadway on Tuesday, September 6th in Burlington County.
Police said that a 48-year-old woman from Mount Holly was driving southbound on the Mount Holly Bypass in Westampton at about 2:30 p.m. when, for reasons still under investigation, she lost control of her vehicle.
The SUV swerved off the roadway and struck both a wooden fence and a large tree before coming to an uncontrolled stop in a residential backyard in the 400th block of East Pennington Drive.
The driver, as well as her four passengers, a 44-year-old man from Mount Holly, a 27-year-old woman from Mount Laurel, a 5-year-old boy from Mount Laurel, and an 11-year-old boy from Mount Holley, were all transported by multiple rescue squads to area hospitals for immediate medical care.
Everyone is expected to survive their injuries.
