Westchester County, NY – Fatal Vehicle Collision on I-287 Between Exit 10/11
Westchester County, NY (August 19, 2021) – First responders were called to the scene of a fatal collision that involved two passenger cars and a cement truck in Westchester County. The wreck was reported to officials just before 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 17.
Sources indicate that the collision occurred in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 287 between exits 10 and 11 in Harrison. Authorities confirmed that two people lost their lives in the accident.
The scene was busy with emergency crews for an extended period of time on the morning of August 17. Heavily damaged vehicles were observed on-site.
All eastbound lanes were blocked while authorities worked to secure the area. Traffic was diverted off at exit 10 for an extended period of time.
