Westchester, NY (September 6, 2019) – On September 4, at approximately 8:55 p.m., emergency crews rushed to the scene of a major pedestrian accident on School Street.

According to reports, a pedestrian was walking along the eastbound side of School Street when they were struck by a motor vehicle near the intersection of Wampus Avenue.

The driver fled from the scene without stopping to render aid.

The pedestrian sustained very serious injuries in the collision and was transported to Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla for treatment.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
