Westfield, NJ – Woman Injured in Scooter vs Truck Crash on S Avenue W near Tuttle Pkwy Brg

Westfield, NJ (December 11, 2023) – A woman was sent to the hospital after she was injured in a collision involving her electric scooter and a pickup truck. Reports show the wreck occurred on Monday morning, December 11, in Westfield. Several emergency crews went to the scene at around 6:57 a.m. to render aid. Sources say the incident happened on South Avenue West near Tuttle Parkway Bridge and it involved a Dodge Pickup and an electric scooter that were both traveling east on West South Avenue. The scooter operator was identified as a 21-year-old female who resides in Fanwood. She was taken to Robert Johnson University Hospital with head injuries. The truck driver, a 58-year-old man from Westfield, sustained no injuries. 

Authorities in Westfield continue to investigate.
