White Township, NJ – E-Bike Rider Seriously Injured in Crash on Rt 519

White Township, NJ (August 1, 2023) – An e-bike rider sustained serious injuries after a collision that occurred in White Township. Police went to the crash scene shortly after 1:00 p.m. to render aid and investigate the details of the accident. A vehicle was reportedly headed north on Route 519 while a man was riding his e-bike on the right shoulder just ahead of the vehicle. The e-bike was riding in the area of milepost 38.5 when it was involved in a crash with a car.

Reports say the bike struck the front right of the vehicle, causing the rider to be ejected from the bike. The bicyclist was airlifted to an area hospital for treatment, according to information from state police. Police say the driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene and cooperated with authorities. Route 519 was closed for approximately two hours while emergency crews worked to help at the scene.
